Jason Dohring was born (thank God 
) in Toledo, Ohio the 30th of March 1982.
As he said in a lot of interviews he lives with his family in Los Angeles, California.
He is a scientologist, son of the scientologists Laurie and Doug Dohring.
He is an expert skier and also enjoys snowboarding, watersports, golf and surfing.
About golf he said “I play golf, so what’s the worst that can happen, I get hit by a ball? Or I get hit by lightning, right? I think Lee Trevino survived like three strikes so I got a couple of times in me”.
From his young life he started in commercials and then he moved onto a number of small roles in movies and television. ( “Someone she knows” , “Broken Record”) He starred in Ready to Run from Disney.
In the Polaris 22 (Toronto 2008) he was talking about the movie, Deep Impact (1998), 2 little scenes which gave to him the “fame” in the High school prom…
He said “it was awesome. I went to prom and I was the coolest guy in school because I was in this huge blockbuster film. Even if it was only two lines.”
Some of the tv shows where he appeared including Roswell, 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd,
The Division, Judging Amy, JAG, The Parkers and Boston Public. He also appeared as guest star in the 1st series of Cold Case his character was the older Dominic.
In the 2003 he starred in Black Cadillac and the 2004 was the year of Wedding Daze.

In a Scientology interview he said it was just before the audition of Veronica Mars (4 years ago) that he decided to commit himself fully to his profession.
It was his Logan Echolls, a rich but unlucky guy of southern California, which gave to him the real notoriety to the tv public . It seems his 1st audition in VM was for the role of Duncan (which was to be the main character with Veronica) but in the end they decided to give to him Logan Echolls character (with his humorous dead-pan expressions ) which was a good thing because in the middle of the 1st season the public decided to put all the attention into the Veronica/Logan couple and the story changed because of this. Jason came back to be the main character of VM (which is the place he deserved to be). He sayd “I think I read Duncan a little bit dark… I always get these roles that are harder for me to do, like the wild guy. I find more freedom in that, though, and I’m glad that it turned out that way.” (Backstage.com)
In 2006, Jason was nominated for an Ivy award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work in Veronica Mars.
After 3 season the CW decided the end of VM. An amazing number of fans was very frustated due to the no sense end of this tv show and they’re still working to have a dvd movie to know the end of this story.
Recently Tvguide said there’s a possibility this could come about.
In Toronto Jason said he would be very pleased to work to this project.
In the 2007 he also starred in the dvd movie The Deep Below.
When VM closed a new project of Joel Silver named Moonlight (written by Trevor Munson e Ron Koslow) gave to Jason another big opportunity to entry in the public heart.
He played the 400 years old vampire, Josef Konstan best friend of the P.I. Mick St.John.
Despite having a huge number of fans the show will never see the light of the 2nd season but this Josef gave to Jason Dohring another substantial number of fans.
In the 2007 he also play in the short film Struck.
For what we know Jason is still searching about his next role. He said to the Polaris 22 he’s making some auditions and he’ s speaking with Rob Thomas about 2 new pilot of the writer but we don’t know which…a little news in Michael Muhney fans blog tell us about a new pilot audition Jason and Michael were doing together….
We really hope to have Jason’s news as soon as possible.

Come citato più volte nelle sue interviste vive in famiglia, a Los Angeles, California.
E’ un scientolgist , figlio di genitori scientologist Laurie e Doug Dohring.
E’ appassionato di qualsiasi sport e ne pratica diversi (golf ,watersport, snowboard, surf etc.);
a proposito del golf Jason ha detto: “Gioco a golf, quindi qual’è la cosa peggiore che può capitarmi? essere colpito da un fulmine, giusto? Penso che Lee Trevino sia sopravvissuto a qualcosa come 3 strickes, quindi ho ancora un po’ di tempo per me”.
Fin da giovanissimo è entrato nel mondo delle pubblicità fino ad arrivare alla televisione

Alla convention di Toronto di quest’anno raccontava di come fosse improvvisamente diventato una “star” al ballo di fine anno subito dopo una sua piccola apparizione in “Deep impact”(1998) la cosa sembrava divertirlo molto, infatti dice: “E’ stato stupendo, sono andato al ballo di fine anno ed ero il più ragazzo più figo della scuola perchè ero in questo grande successo di Blockbuster, anche se erano solo due battute.

Ancora una volta, Roosvel, The Parkers, JAG - Avvocati in divisa, Boston Public, Giudice Amy,The Division.
Ha inoltre recitato come guest star nell’ep. 22 della prima serie di Cold Case, interpretando il protagonista Dominic.

In una intervista rilasciata a Scientology Jason ammette che fu proprio subito prima dell’audizione di VM che decise di fare seriamente con questo lavoro e che contestualmente trovò appunto il ruolo di Logan Echolls.
Il “salto” avviene infatti con l’audizione per Veronica Mars dove sembra che inizialmente Jason Dohring fosse stato scelto per fare l’audizione per la parte di Duncan (il quale doveva essere il protagonista insieme a Veronica)
Si decise poi che con la sua proverbiale faccia da schiaffi (n.d.r. ) fosse perfetto per la parte di Logan Echolls, ricco e sfortunato ragazzo del sud California…negli extra dei DVD originali di VM è proprio Rob Thomas ad ammettere che fu desiderio dei fans della serie tv portare l’attenzione sulla coppia Logan/Veronica e quindi la storia originale subì un cambiamento di programma, riportando Jason nella parte da protagonista, (dove meritava di stare.(n.d.r. )
Fra alti e bassi la serie VM arrivò alla sua 3 stagione deludendo i fans con un finale a dir poco ricco di incognite. I numerosi fans di tutto il mondo non si sono persi d’animo e stanno lottando per avere almeno un film in dvd che riempia il vuoto lasciato dalla fine mancata delle serie tv.( neptune-rising.weebly.com )
Su tvguide in settembre è apparsa una notizia che dà il progetto per realizzabile.
In occasione della Polaris 22 a Toronto in luglio 2008 Jason ha dichiarato la sua disponibilità al progetto del film in DVD asserendo che lavorare nuovamente coi vecchi colleghi lo entusiasmerebbe non poco.
Nel 2006 Jason è stato nominato per un Ivy Award come miglior attore di supporto in un serie drammatica.

La serie brilla nella sua prima stagione televisiva ma nonostante i grandissimi sforzi di un numero considerevole di fans la CBS decide in maggio del 2008 di non rinnovarla per la 2a stagione. Questo progetto sarà cmq un altro “salto” per Jason che lo farà conoscere al pubblico di Moonlight che non aveva mai visto VM, definito in u.s. soprattutto un teen drama.
Durante le riprese di Moonlight Jason ha partecipato anche al cortometraggio “Struck”.
Ci risulta che Jason sia ancora in cerca del suo prossimo ruolo, sempre alla Polaris 22 ha ammesso di essere stato contattato da Rob Thomas per un eventuale ruolo in uno dei 2 progetti dello stesso e di aver fatto qualche audizione di recente…una piccola news sul fan blog di Michael Muhney lo vede alla Sony leggere un copione per un nuovo Pilot….

Il 23 di ottobre 2008 alcune riviste spacializzate nel settore hanno reso pubblica la notizia del ritorno di Jason Dohring in un tv show della HBO-prodotto da Sarah Jessica Parker- chiamato Washingtonienne. BEN TORNATO JASON, ci sei mancato!
